Hamden Figure Skating Association
Hamden Figure Skating Association (HFSA) was founded in 1971 and is a proud sponsor of CT Ice Fusion. The first synchronized skating team sponsored by HFSA was in 1975, known at the time as a precision team, “The Figurettes” the first precision team in Connecticut. The Figurettes were successful in medaling several Eastern Division Championships, National Championships and International Competitions during their tenure. Team Esprit formed in 1990 and has continued to successfully represent HFSA with more than 15 U.S. Eastern division medals and has had 5 National level qualifying teams.
Most Recently, Team Esprit was coached by Jill McCarthy and Heidi Richetelle, both original Figurettes. Both coaches are very talented and bring many years of combined coaching experience to our team. They are fully trained and qualified individuals whose leadership has brought our teams to winning many synchronized skating championships and competitions. In 2019 Team Esprit merged with Starcatchers and became CT Ice Fusion. The team's head coaches are Tiffany Savage, Calla Loehr, and Jessica Girdvainis

Our mission is a community of skaters, coaches and families offering all levels of skaters a rewarding experience all while creating lasting bonds and friendships with their teammates for memories that last a lifetime.
